Setting boundaries, with the
autistic teens and adults you love,
without the guilt
Most support for autism is aimed at understanding the autistic person. This session is about you. The parent or partner, doing the emotional work and quietly running out of road
You are often the person they turn to when distressed, and carrying that can become overwhelming.
Your attempts to help may sometimes be experienced differently than you intended, leaving both of you feeling misunderstood.
It can be difficult to know when compassion, accommodation or a boundary is needed.
You may feel guilty admitting that you are tired, so you keep it to yourself.
